Our Process
Every project starts with a conversation about what you are looking to accomplish. I will meet with you, look over the space or project, talk through options, and make sure I understand what you want before work begins. From there, I will provide a clear estimate and work with you on any details that need to be decided ahead of time. Once the project is underway, I stay in communication with you and handle the work carefully from preparation through completion.
Planning & Preparation
Before starting, we will go over the scope of work, materials, colors, finishes, and any other decisions that need to be made. For projects that require a little more planning, I can also help work through design details and practical options before the work begins.
Clear Estimates
I provide a clear estimate based on the work we discuss beforehand. Most projects are quoted at a fixed price, while some smaller or less predictable projects may be better suited to time and materials. Either way, I want you to understand what is included and what the project is expected to cost before we get started.
Communication During the Project
I stay in communication throughout the project so you know how things are going and can easily ask questions or make decisions as they come up. If we uncover something unexpected or decide that a change makes sense, we will talk about it before moving forward.
The Finishing
Touches
Before considering a project complete, I take the time to go back through the work and take care of the small details. That includes touch-ups, cleanup, hardware and fixtures where applicable, and anything else needed to leave the project looking pristine and the space ready to use.
Our Quality Standard
I take pride in doing work that is careful, durable, and done properly. Saint Joseph’s Contracting is licensed, bonded, and insured, and I use quality materials and proven methods appropriate for each project. If something related to my work needs attention after the project is complete, I want to know about it and will work with you to make it right.
